Fresh Perspective

I am having a great week this week. Praise God. It's been super busy though! On Monday afternoon I went to my old stomping ground to hand in my resume. It was so lovely to see everyone! Extra lovely because everyone was so excited to see me- a certain friend who I know well pretty much screamed my name at the top of her lungs in the middle of the office- a little decorum please! Ha! Amaya you rock!

On Tuesday I took a leisurely hour drive out to Forest Hill near Laidley and did my first day of supply work in 5 years. Still love it! The lovely Chante who I taught with at Flagstone is working there now and suggested me for the job as they had, had real trouble securing a supply teacher for the day. I wouldn't just drive an hour in both directions for just any school. But I'd happily work there again. The kids and teachers were both lovely.

On the way to school I had to stop and take this picture.  Its not every day you see the full name of someone you know on a street sign! I told him that his way would definitely point to Jesus!

Yesterday I taught Year 1 at Flagstone. Thankfully not in the classroom that was home for 2.5 years. That would have been tough. Another good day there. Tomorrow I start a 6  day contract teaching PE- oh my! I have bought a new whistle and this will be a good excuse to buy some new joggers too.

Definitely feeling more at peace... Fresh perspective and taking life one day at a time helps so much!!

Plus I heard from Mum and Dad! That made my heart so happy. They are cruising the Rhine as you do! Having a marvellous time- although Mum said that she was feeling a bit guilty about all the luxury- Mum you deserve it- enjoy every second.

Apparently they went to Salzburg yesterday. I look forward to seeing the umpteen million photos that Dad is bound to have taken. He said he wants to watch the Sound of Music with me now and relate all the buildings he saw to the movie. Sure Dad bring it on!

Have been sending emails back and forth seeking out some future opportunities... my heart is happy some big questions I had were answered most favourably today. So good. Will reveal more when the timing is right.
